Some people have argued that a group of people must have killed him and left him in that suicidal condition but from all investigations conducted by the state police, it was revealed that the death of tobechukwu was actually a suicide and not a murder which people believe it to be. While others believe that this guy killed himself as a result of frustration from gambling since he was an addict to gambling. Besides all these, a good number of people believe that perhaps this guy stole someones`s property who might have reported to ''"ubeh". This "ubeh" is one of the popular Nsukka deities which is notorious in killing people through hanging or accident.
Tobechukwu`s father came in the evening of that same Sunday and showed his grievances, lamenting that Tobechukwu was a waste to him having paid his school fees for four years and many other things. Some traditional rituals were performed before he was brought down from his hanging position after which he was taken to the hospital since his father swore that Tobe was not going to be buried by him (the father)
